7th June - Was the Start of the this year's Children's Society Walk & Explore Events. In the Fantastic glorious weather and heat that we had, we were there to supply the Sound System, Outside Stage and the Generator Power for various activities which included The Bungee Fly, Magic Shows, Dance Routines and A Local Folk Group from the Unniversity of Durham. White Star Medical Team was on stand-by for assistance throughout the Event.

22nd June 2008 - Festival of Hope - Open Air Concert.

At Hinckley United Marston's Stadium

Churches throughout the Region joined together in

Christian Fellowship.

 

The fun-packed afternoon featured live music and bands, special guests including Bruce Nadin, Chaplain to Leicester City FC, and Rosemary Conley. Throughout the afternoon there was a six-a-side football competition, bouncy castle, skate park, the Nomad sports cage and an exhibition area where many local groups and organisations were showing how they put hope into the community in different ways.

The Afternoon was started with Glorious Sunshine and High winds however we had a great time!. Steve Legg, Magician and Escapologist Entertained the Crowds along with Live Music from Local Christian Bands and

Interviews by Former Fosseway Radio and now UCB Radio Presenter

Nick Gurney.

Sunday 25th November 2007 saw the Water Rats Annual Ball held at  London's Prestigous Grosvenor House Hotel, I was honoured to have engineered the sound for 2 of the top acts performing including Itv's Britains Got Talent Damon and the UK's Number 1 swing jive band The Jive Aces. The evening was a star studded event with Guests including Danny La Rue, Rick Wakeman and many more. The Show was hosted by funnyman Tom O'Connor.

Friday 16th Nov 2007 - The Prestige Promotions Entertainment Showcase at the Lavish Radison Edwardian Hotel - Heathrow.

 

Soundworks was the Proud sponsor for the show with High-tech Sound & Lighting in the hands of myself with thanks to Mark Norris (our stage manager) who run the production.

From ITV's Britains Got Talent - Runners up, The Bar wizards, Puppet Man Damon with his Monkey, Stringfever, Jamie & the First Class were also among those performing in the show.

Maggies Cancer Charities, The Guildhall - London.

Sound, Lights and Staging supplied to the London Night Hike at the Guildhall Courtyard, London, In association with Maggie's Cancer Charity.

 

The event consisted of around 1000 entrants walking 17 miles around London through the night to raise money for the charity.

2006

New Years Eve 2006 Kicked off with a bang at one of London's Top Venues - the Blue Bird Restaurant in Chelsea, The evenings Entertainment was the fabulous Johnathan Nickoll and his Band - playing music from Jazz to Rock 'n' Roll and even some late James Brown favourites chucked in. The dance floor was packed all night and the disco and not to mention the free-flowing champayne kept the party going till late..

One of the hottest days of the year. A marquee with around 180 guests attended the 50th Golden Wedding anniversary of David and Avril Shepherd. The afternoon event was one to remember with entertainment from the fantastic Rebecca Carrington and Colin G Brown. The double act from London performed for 50 mins with their collaboration of music and comedy.

 

Over the past years David Shepherd is renowned for his spectacular paintings and his work with Elephants in Africa. Click here for more details regarding his work.
